Lincensed Massage Therapist

Certified Personal Trainer ACE, ACSM
Licensed Chiropractic Assistant

After taking a part time job at an indoor rock climbing gym I knew I wanted to have a career in the health and fitness industry. I became a certified personal trainer in 1998 through the World Fitness Association and the American Council of Exercise. I took a job at a country club in Lake Worth and quickly became the fitness director until 2002 when I injured my back. After months of physical therapy the one treatment that had the biggest impact on improving my back pain was massage therapy.

In 2003 I enrolled at Palm Beach Academy and became licensed as a massage therapist. Since then I've become certified in Sports Massage, Deep Tissue, Lomi Lomi, Active Release, Swe-Thai, Traditional Thai, Massage Cupping and Hot Stone Massage. Over that time I've also added to my fitness knowledge by becoming certified with the American Council Of Sports Medicine and certified in Active Isolated Stretching.

Over the years I've worked with some great doctors who have helped expand my knowledge base in regards to soft tissue injuries and treatments. I've also had the opportunity to provide sports massage for Florida Atlantic University's Athletics since 2005, the 2004 Olympic Wrestling Team, the Delray Open Tennis Tournament and Old Dominion Women's Soccer. In addition to that I helped assemble the first sports massage team for the inaugural Palm Beach Marathon and in 2005 I was awarded Sports Massage Therapist Of The Year for Palm Beach County by the Florida State Massage Association.

My massage therapy treatments are more therapeutic, focusing on sore muscles, common injury spots, improving joint mobility, breaking up knots and adhesions. I do have some clients that prefer relaxation treatments and for them I do Swedish and/or hot stone massage.

My personal training sessions are always designed around the client's goals and physical restrictions. However my exercise ideology is a pyramid design where cardiovascular conditioning is the base and building from there is resistance and interval training, then core strength, then balance and flexibility.

I'm a big believer in practicing what I preach. I exercise daily and receive massages regularly. My wife and I are avid runners. We do a lot of local races from 5k’s to marathons.
